ABOUT US

ETC "Export Trading Cooperation" is a multinational group rated on European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) with trademark registered on the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), member of Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT), specialized in the Financial industry and Supply chain management (SCM) as per NACE code “technical-financial management of international trade and foreign investments”.

The aim of ETC is providing Trade facilities for Import/Export and Investments with African countries.

The Headquarter is based in Treviso (Italy - EU) with his Regional Bureau Africa (RBA) in Cotonou (Benin - UEMOA) and subsidiaries and branches in Douala (Cameroon - CEMAC) and representatives in several countries between Europe and Africa.

During its growth journey, the group has been supported by Italian public Equity Partners, among which we can count Sace-Simest (held by the Cassa depositi e prestiti “Cdp”) and Finest (owned by the Regional Governments of Northeastern Italy).

Today shareholding of Holding company is composed by : Monte dei Paschi Fiduciaria headquartered in Siena (Italy), subsidiary of Italian banking group Monte dei Paschi di Siena (MPS), held by the Italian Ministry of Finance ; BGFI Bank Europe SA headquartered in Paris (France), subsidiary of Gabonese banking group BGFI Holding Corporation (BHC) and Private Investors.

OUR NETWORK

ETC is able to perform an adequate assessment of each counterpart also thanks to its international Network of Institutions (DFI/FI, banks, Legal firms etc ..) which allows the group to :

  • Originate trading and investments opportunities facilitating Scouting and Business matchmaking between African demand and European supply;

  • Facilitate the liaison between African and European Banks through our own SWIFT channel;

The Group's expansion has been possible also thanks to the strong active agreements with our extensive network of international institutions and banks, which are thus providers of Business opportunities & Deals that the Group is able to seize and develop.

SWIFT MEMBERSHIP

ETC is member of the SWIFT Network for exchanging authenticated messages with banks and others financial institutions around the world (i.e. documentary Letter of Credit, stand by LC, bid and performance bonds, others) and has built a direct correspondence with Pan-African and European banks and financial institutions, playing the role of Correspondent Agent to mitigate phenomenon called De-risking.

ESMA RATING

ETC is rated A3- at the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), which enables Banks allowing risk weighting of ETC signature in accordance with regulatory capital requirements (standard approach) of Basel Committee.
